Afrikan Boy & Rye Rye and has also performed more solo shows that you can count! 2010 will see a European promotional campaign, several music videos ('Lagos' being the most imminent) plus an album (Details TBC). Did you know...?! He even opened for PRINCE during his back to back shows at the O2 meaning he definitely has what it takes. Real name Olushola Ajose, Afrikan Boy is a 19 year old sensation. Having grown up in South East London, Shola (as he refers to himself) has a naturally funny, loud presence and free spirit that has won him fans from all types of social backgrounds. Major influences include Nigerian superstar Sir Shina Peters and Fela Kuti while his British up-bringing has drawn him to also look up to fellow peers Kano and Dizzee Rascal. Shola talks of how he has not categorised his music in to any one genre but rather concentrates on elevating his fellow African people whether it be through singing, rapping or MC’ing.
