He was one of the founding members of Spain’s influential Arkestra Collective and star of Seattle’s Red Bull Music Academy and Sonar '09. In January 2006, he launched his first 12” 'Megaplast EP' on Nod Navigators/ Kindred Spirits – Beat led, bass heavy and cinematic it was ahead of it’s time and very well received by the then burgeoning underground scene. His next release, 'Un Joder Suave', was one of the highlights of Beats Dimensions Vol.1 – More bass, faster paced and leaning more towards the dancefloor. His recent 7” 'Chandal 500/ Jamas Jame Jamon' on All City Records is one of our best records of 2008, it easily stands out in the '7x7 Beatstrumental' concept series. A heavy heavy magical gem. Likened to producers like Dimlite, Dilla, Madlib, Prefuse 73 and Dabrye for bringing electronic, hip-hop influenced, beats to the forefront. He now stands next to the new school of beatmakers including Dorian Concept, Flying Lotus, Rustie and Hudson Mohawke as he looks to the future. Mwëslee’s time is now.
